Everyone is trying to save money right now and coupons are a great way to do that! A new study has determined which coupon Tennessees are looking for the most, and you might be surprised by the results.

The research, conducted by financial site Forbes Advisor, analyzed five years of Google Trends data to establish the most searched coupons on Google in each US state and the states that searched the most for coupons.

The study reports that Tennessee ranks first for states looking for coupons. The states with the most searches for coupons are (in order of number of searches): Tennessee, New Jersey, Maryland, Alabama and Texas.

The most popular coupon for Tennessee residents is Marco’s pizzaaccording to the study.

Highlights of the study include:

  • Tennessee has the most searches for food delivery coupons, with various companies topping the results.
  • Five states searched for specific restaurants—Marco’s pizza was most wanted in Virginia, Tennessee and Utah; Corner Bakery Cafe coupons were the most popular search in the District of Columbia, and Missouri wanted coupons for Sarpino’s Pizzeria more than any other brand.
  • Search interest in SHEIN Coupons has reached all-time highs seen in December 2021 in California, Florida, Minnesota, Oregon and South Dakota. South Dakota saw the biggest increase in the study, where searches for SHEIN coupons soared 1,231% above average levels during this period. Searches in Kentucky jumped 479% above average search levels between April 3 and April 9, 2022, reaching the highest levels seen in the state.

Commenting on the results, Caroline Lupini, credit card and travel analyst at Forbes Advisor, said: “With rising costs across the country and households feeling pressure on their pockets, coupons are a useful way to save money on everyday purchases without having to switch from favorite brands. This study reveals that coupons for fast fashion businesses are the most searched in the United States, followed by pet supplies, pharmaceuticals and food. There are surprising outliers, such as Wayfair furniture coupons being most popular in New Jersey, and Colorado’s ParkDIA, which is seeing massive increases in search levels after pandemic rules were relaxed and trips have become viable. It will be interesting to see how these trends develop over time as we keep an eye on the economic outlook during a market downturn. »
