Clothing art 16: After a two-year hiatus, the 16th annual “sweet 16” art and fashion-themed mashup features runway presentations, a gallery exhibit, and the art of hair and makeup. $85 to $135, $20 standing room/screen video. 7-11 p.m. Saturday. Florida Gun Show: The event showcases new, used, and antique firearms, ammunition, shooting supplies, and knives. There are also shooting accessories including scopes, clips, and carrying cases. Great St. Pete Cupcake Contest: Timed admission tickets can be purchased in advance and will include votes and a to-go container for mini cupcakes (pack of 12 or 24 free). Tickets are priced with a first-hour early access fare (noon-1pm) guaranteeing first choice of some of the most popular flavors and beautifully decorated cupcakes (at no extra cost for Morean members). $10 to $25. Clear Water Vixens: The Threshers entered the field as the Beach Dogs to take on the Tampa Tarpons. The first 1,000 guests receive a free Beach Dogs sports towel. Fridays are also dog friendly. Fans can bring their dog to BayCare Ballpark to enjoy the game. Dog tickets are $7 and are available for walk-in purchases. Summer Classics Film Series: The 31st Annual Classic Film Series features silent films accompanied by the Mighty Wurlitzer theater organ, sing-along songs and modern classics.
